Unless stated otherwise, all planters are pierced for drainage. We created the skull saucer to catch all those droplets, and to keep your plants happy. Grooves allow the brain planter to fit snug inside it's skull saucer. Switch it up and use it as a catch-all for keys, or other paraphernalia.
